Diana Lauritson
Hi, my name is Diana Lauritson, and I am the founder of Cosmopolite Consulting and co-founder of The Cosmopolite Collective. Cosmopolite means to be a citizen of the world, one who is at home in every place, a worldly, sophisticated person, exactly what I aspire to be.
The Cosmopolite Collective is a community of talented individuals who share their passions, unique stories, and experiences with the world in order to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, inspiration, and innovation. What better way to bring all of those beautiful ideas together than through the lens of travel?
We decided to start this podcast as a creative outlet to share how travel has impacted our lives and how it can be a powerful tool to escape, connect, heal, motivate, and educate. However, through the process, we learned that the podcast is only one element of the Collective, and the possibilities of where we can go with this are endless.
At first, we were reluctant to launch anything until everything was absolutely perfect, but we quickly realized in our excitement that letting perfection get in the way of progress would forever hold us back from making our vision a reality.
So here we are, and here I am, sharing the Cosmopolite Collective with you. I am so excited to pour my time, energy, and attention into the things I love most, which are travel and sharing unique stories and diverse perspectives of people from all walks of life, with the hopes of, in some way, making travel accessible to everyone.
Selfishly, I also get to check off a lot of personal boxes on this journey: I get to work with my friends, travel more, build my personal brand, leverage skills I don’t get to utilize at my day job, and apply them to a labor of love, and potentially make alternative streams of income doing something that doesn’t feel at all like work.
But most of all, I’m excited to be connected with you. I can’t wait to hear your reactions, learn from your comments, and share tips and ideas with our community. Thank you for coming with me on this journey. I’ll see you in the Collective.
